BENGLITCH

Benglitch is an experimental project that was done with the idea of corrupting the corrupted. Young hooligans in Singapore are referred to as Bengs. They are the rotten and vulgar scums of the society, and are always behaving like wild monkeys on the loose.

In this project, lo-fi images of these hooligans were taken off the internet, and hacked with the use of simple word document software such as TextEdit and WordPad. Chunks of binaries were then violently removed from their initial JPEG data, in an attempt to cleanse their soul. The end result of the images were their persistent faces, still intact as ever, proving themselves to be decedent of cockroaches.
