HXC SHOW

A series of experimental documentary of a local underground hardcore gig at BlackHole313. Images are shot with a classic Nikon FM3A loaded with Ilford Delta 3200 without the use of a flash. The only light source was a dim light coming off the stage. The films are then hand-processed traditionally, in which the selected images are then manually blown up and burned onto photo papers in the darkroom.

The lack of use of a flash was matched with a film of a very high ISO speed. The intention of omitting the flash altogether was the concept of documenting, in the dark, as much activities as possible, of the lifestyle of these people whom the society deemed nuisance. Contrary to that, they are in fact, one of the friendliest bunch of people I have ever met. They showed a great amount of love and respect to the people and animals around them, and displayed an intense strength of brotherhood during my entire stay, which was nothing I have seen projected by the society before.
