SKIN:SKIN

The aim of this project was to create a series of artworks that are not only unified, but are also strong in the translation of the selected theme from a linguistic form into a visual metaphor. The theme 'Skin' was chosen to be concluded and finalized, in which ten international proverbs on 'Skin' was then selected from various sources to be visually translated in the final artworks.

The visual composition of the proverbs are then projected onto a nude model to enhance the concept of the theme 'Skin' on skin. The idea of translating the proverbs onto the skin of an actual nude body is intriguing; not just using our skin as a canvas itself, but also as a beautiful sculptural form that holds the different meanings that are cast on it.
